The inspiration behind CSL

Continuum Solutions LLC was founded by Kimberly O'Shields as a result of her passion for college student well-being.  Kimberly has over 25 years professional experience blending a combination of both engineering, PM, nutrition, non-profit and higher education experience.  These unique skills are being used to create technical solutions to provide virtual well-being services on college and university campuses.

Consulting Expertise - Kimberly utilized her process re-engineering and workflow optimization skills working for think tanks and consulting firms.  She launched her own independent consulting business serving defense contracts.

Higher Education Expertise – Kimberly's first exposure to higher education was at Trinity University where she developed and taught the university's first Nutrition and Wellness class - 100% of the students reached their well-being goals.  Over the course of 6 years at Trinity, she was also a math specialist teaching Statistics and Foundations of Math.

Nutrition and Well-being Expertise – Kimberly combined her experience working with students at a minority-serving institution with her ability to work with administrators to help them create healthier environments at college and universities.  She first started managing the Healthier Campus Initiative in 2017 helping nearly 80 campuses and 2 million students, faculty and staff implement food & nutrition, physical activity and programming guidelines.  Now as a part of CSL, she has improved the framework to accommodate a changed higher education experience of on-campus, hybrid and virtual learning due to the pandemic.  She worked with sponsors such as NIKE, Columbia Sportswear and MindBody to provide service learning, sports equipment and gear to HCI students.  She also worked closely with Sodexo and Aramark to incorporate best practices into the HCI guidelines.  She also coordinated Healthy Campus Week #HealthyCampus where colleges engaged students with health awareness activities.  She worked in conjunction with Sodexo for the Largest Farmers Market.
